The department of English plays a vital role in imparting Communicative English skills along with Soft skills to aid young graduates become competent and confident. Be it theory or laboratory the department offers innovative and interactive instruction which forms the basis for lifelong learning. The student centric teaching-learning process enables the students to develop holistic approach towards role of technology and socioeconomic demands to achieve sustainable development.

The department has eight (08) faculty members devoted to teach the subject connecting it to the latest teaching methodologies and developments to match the ethos of the scientific world. The department works in collaboration with reputed institutes and provides various certified courses such as Oxford Achievers Programme, Standardized Test of English Proficiency by The Hindu, foreign languages and IELTS. Apart from active teaching, the faculty are involved in conducting research in some interesting areas of English Literature. One (01) of the faculty members is a doctorate and another four (04) are pursuing Ph.D on a part-time basis. Faculty are members of various professional bodies..
